Snapshot & Export
Capture high-resolution raster and vector exports of your quantum circuit in PNG, SVG, and PDF formats, with customizable visibility controls for publication, presentation, and documentation.
Export formats
| Format | Best For | Features |
|---|---|---|
| PNG | Web, slides, and documentation | Raster image with transparent or solid background options, and 2x or 4x high-resolution scaling. |
| SVG | Vector graphics and publication figures | Clean scalable vector paths and text that stay crisp at any zoom level. |
| Printable reports and documentation | Vector document layout formatted for papers, assignments, and handouts. |
Visibility and layout toggles
The export dialog lets you tailor exactly which layers appear in the captured image:
- Annotations: Toggle text annotations and region brackets below the circuit.
- Qubit labels: Show or hide row wire identifiers (such as
q0,q1,q2). - Function header bars: Include or hide the colored span bars that identify high-level algorithm blocks.
- Qubit wire lines: Keep gate positions intact while turning wire track rendering on or off.
- Transparent background: Export with a transparent alpha channel for easy placement over dark or light slide backgrounds.
- High resolution: Boost pixel density for print or high-DPI displays.
In-simulator capture integration
Snapshots are deeply connected with the rest of the simulator workspace:
- Slides: Use From Circuit to drop the current schematic directly onto a presentation slide.
- Videos: Capture live circuit stills into the timeline or insert them into step-by-step math walks.
- Spreadsheet: Bring circuit images into workbook sheets as visual references alongside numerical data.
- Storage: Save named project snapshots in your browser workspace drive.
Version history snapshots
The Qubi code editor records automatic, debounced snapshots as you type. Open the history sidebar to inspect line-by-line diffs, restore the editor to any previous snapshot, or fork an earlier state into a new editor tab.
