About These Roles

Qubibyte was founded on January 1st, 2025. It builds the Quantum Circuit Simulator, the Qubi programming language it runs, and the ecosystem around them: the other simulators on this site, QubiAI, the reference manual, and the video series.

The founder, Trent Rosenthal, has held the operating, financial, technology, marketing, and legal officer roles on an acting basis since November 23rd, 2025. Each position below is a permanent replacement for one of those roles. Each reports to him and heads its own department.

Positions

  • Chief Operating Officer

    Operations Full-time San Francisco, CA Onsite

    Run the company day to day: the release process for the simulator and the Qubi tools, the vendors and services behind the site, and the support that keeps users unblocked. Work with Financial on what each of those costs.

    You will

    • Plan and run releases across the simulator, the Qubi language, and the docs.
    • Set up testing and review so nothing ships broken.
    • Run user support, vendor relationships, and the company's operating rhythm.

  • Chief Technology Officer

    Technology Full-time San Francisco, CA Onsite

    Take over the engineering of the Quantum Circuit Simulator, the Qubi language, and the rest of the ecosystem: the other browser-based simulators, QubiAI, and the tooling around them.

    You will

    • Lead the Quantum Circuit Simulator's architecture and performance.
    • Own the Qubi language, the simulators, and their roadmap.
    • Hire and lead the engineering team as it grows beyond the founder.

  • Chief Financial Officer

    Financial Full-time San Francisco, CA Onsite

    Set up Qubibyte's finances: the budget, the books, the cost model behind running the simulator and its ecosystem, and the funding needed to grow the team.

    You will

    • Run accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
    • Own the cost model for the simulator, the site, and future products.
    • Plan and lead fundraising and investor relations.

  • Chief Marketing Officer

    Marketing Full-time San Francisco, CA Onsite

    Take over the blog, the video channel, the website, and the launches of new simulator and Qubi features. The audience is students, researchers, and engineers, and the work is explanation more than advertising.

    You will

    • Plan and run launches for the simulator and the Qubi ecosystem.
    • Grow the written and video material that teaches people to use Qubi and the simulators.
    • Manage the website, the social accounts, and outreach to universities and labs.

  • Chief Legal Officer

    Legal Full-time San Francisco, CA Onsite

    Handle the legal work of a company that publishes software and teaching material: intellectual property, contracts, licensing, privacy, and corporate records.

    You will

    • Protect the simulator, the Qubi language, and Qubibyte's trademarks.
    • Draft and review vendor, partner, and user agreements.
    • Keep licensing, privacy, and data handling compliant.
