Biography
Trent Rosenthal is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Qubibyte. He started the company on January 1st, 2025 to build a quantum computer that a school, a lab, or a single researcher could actually buy, and to write the software and teaching material that would make it useful on the day it arrived.
The hardware side of that work is the Qubibyte Quadra, a four-qubit liquid-state NMR quantum computer that runs at room temperature, fits on a desk, and is planned for release in the first quarter of 2027 at a target price of $800. Rosenthal designed the Quadra and has documented its engineering in the Qubibyte blog, from the permanent magnets and transceiver coil to the RF chain and probe network.
On the software side he created the Qubi programming language and the browser-based Quantum Circuit Simulator that runs it, along with QubiAI, the assistant that turns a plain English description of a circuit into Qubi code. The simulator has since grown into a family of tools: an NMR spectrometer simulator, a classical digital logic simulator, a route simulator that compares classical and quantum routing algorithms, and a quantum computing stock tracker. He also wrote the Qubi reference manual, the quantum computing tutorial, and the Qubi certification exam.
Since November 23rd, 2025 Rosenthal has also held the operating, financial, technology, marketing, and legal officer roles on an acting basis while Qubibyte recruits a permanent executive for each. Those openings are listed on the careers page.
