Operations

Turns the Quadra design into units that can be built, tested, and shipped, and gets them and their sample vials to the people who ordered them.

What the Department Does

Operations covers everything between a finished design and a customer opening a box. For Qubibyte that is the production plan for the Qubibyte Quadra, the parts and vendors behind it, the prepared sample vials that give the device its one to four qubits, testing before shipment, and the logistics of getting units and vials to universities, labs, and individual buyers.

The department works most closely with Technology, which hands it the design, and with Financial, which holds it to the Quadra's $800 target price.

Areas of Work

Production
The build plan for the Quadra ahead of its release in the first quarter of 2027, from prototype units to the first production run.
Suppliers
Sourcing the permanent magnets, RF components, enclosures, and prepared molecular samples the Quadra depends on.
Quality
A test procedure for every unit and every sample vial before it leaves.
Fulfillment
Order handling, packaging, and shipping for devices and replacement sample vials.
Cost
Working with Financial to keep the bill of materials and assembly inside the $800 target.
